Jäegerlaube is German for hunting lodge. This visual identity offered a contemporary interpretation of Central Europe’s hunting culture while highlighting regional wines and cuisine. It was created for a local wine and champagne bar debuting at Germany’s renowned “Stuttgarter Weindorf” festival. Combining hunting traditions with a visually striking serif typeface appeals to a wider audience including the modern epicurean and the new wine enthusiasts. The design therefore had to stay close to what is visually recognizable for the great outdoors, game meat and the participating traditional wine booths.

(B)
A balance between tradition and modern. The color palette makes it digestible identifying the light green for its wine offerings, and dark green for wilderness the natural spaces urbanites crave for. The brand can now carry itself boldly as a new player in this region’s highly-visited event.
