This B2B product innovated in the fleet management industry by enabling the digitization of key processes, including vehicle dispatching and damage management documentation. With this app, a fleet of vehicles can now be tracked, maintained and dispatched remotely. With a small product team, VAN2SHARE increased its user base from a single local non-profit organization to over 1,500 connected vehicles in multiple countries serving small to medium feet customers in less than 18 months.

Unlock vehicle remotely

I stretched myself professionally to work as both a product designer and a design strategist, where I collaborated in a team comprised mainly of key account managers, product owners and operations specialists. I was introduced to the product when the overall business goal was to scale, where I proposed a more sustainable approach to identify the most impactful design and UX interventions to strengthen the strategy’s outcomes.

There were many improvements to work on and I wanted to collect enough evidence to better prioritize design interventions which would align with the product’s main strategy: scaling. After taking an inventory of the problems and learning from customers on field research trips, I was able to define a strong way forward to launch the product on the market with a rebranding and a UX strategy. This approach included a multimodal feedback process where business and product owners were enabled to ask more customer-centric questions to users and customers more frequently.

With my expert contribution and transparent working practices, customer-centricity was soon added as a strategic product pillar and allowed UX insights to contribute directly to the product’s strategic business goals.
